Clutch Spring

There are many combinations of VP Clutch and Clutch spring for various motors. The VP Clutch can be more detail turning for your motor. (Go to Master Chart and Torque Chart)

For example
with Heavy-Duty clutch spring •••• All VP’s can be used with a Heavy-Duty clutch spring. When you use with it, they will handle 25% more torque. Example, VP67T with a Heavy-Duty clutch spring will be the same as VP83T with a stock clutch spring. So it can use it for up to 103” Stroker motor.

Derby Cover Application

Non stock derby (including ’03 Anniversary cover) cover will require a Derby cover spacer due to a clearance issue. This list shows what thickness of the spacer is needed on the HD genuine accessory covers.

Most of other after market cover dose not have any recess on the back of the cover so they requires 1/2” thick spacer.
We also strongly recommend to use our special 0.60” thick derby cover gasket with those cover to add more clearance.

No spacer required.
